my approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in a systemic lens, which considers both the individual, their relationships, and the environments they live in. The evidence-based models that inform my work include Attachment Theory, Relational Neuroscience, Narrative Therapy, Contextual Family Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I also bring the perspective of my background as a classroom teacher. I value the pursuit of being a lifelong learner, honoring unique ways of learning, and creating awareness of how we show up to others. I adhere to the AAMFT Code of Ethics, along with respecting competencies in diversity, ethics, and research/evidenced based theories.

A Systemic Lens

You’re connected to many parts of life, including family, friends, community, work or school, and faith. Each of these plays a role in your day-to-day experience. At the same time, you have a core self that you bring into all of these spaces.

Through a systemic lens, we hold both. We support you in staying grounded in yourself while also exploring how these connections impact you. The goal is to help you show up in your life in a way that feels authentic to who you are.
